Located in the vicinity of Zayed University and Abu Dhabi bus station, the ADEC site will link two major thoroughfares per the Abu Dhabi 2030 Masterplan.

The concept for the Abu Dhabi Education Council Headquarters is designed for research and developed to embody the 21st century comprehensive vision for sustainable living in the UAE.

ADEC presents an opportunity to create a diversity of laterally and vertical workplace zones, strongly connected to natural light and lush tropical flora. The building form and planning is designed to encourage collaboration and the sharing of knowledge between research institutes. The result, is a high performance workplace ecology that ties technology and interior spaces generating a strong public presence and a sense of community.

This G+7 research complex layout is assembled for greater functionality especially on the ground floor area which will host events and exhibitions throughout the year. The building features 9 botanical gardens, an auditorium, cafés, a book store, access to public transport, and carparking to fulfil the mandated zoning requirements.

To address the intense impact of the sun, 3766 distinguished recycled Aluminium shading panels are integrated into the façade to effectively mitigated sun glare, heat gain, and reduced cooling costs.
